We are DONE! This has been a labor of love for my parents, as I normally don’t do residential work. But it was so much fun picking things out with my mom!
Here it is in all of its glory! I’m ready to move back in (jkjk). Here are a few of the final details we incorporated to really make it POP!
Quartz Countertops
We went back and forth on whether to use marble versus quartz, and I am really pleased with the quartz we chose. It is Cashmere Carrara, and in all honesty, it looks like marble, and it will be a lot more durable for years to come.
Backsplash
Baroque Marble Tile
If I had to pick my absolute favorite thing about the entire space, it would be this marble tile back splash. Even my dad (who never comments on cosmetic details) thought it MADE the kitchen. And it truly does. I found this one at Daltile, and it is the perfect amount of modern and traditional, which is exactly the mix they wanted!
Sink and faucet
I am also wishing I could steal this sink and faucet! The faucet is touch activated, and it also lights up red when hot and blue when cold, so you will never burn yourself!
Delta Faucet, Arctic Stainless
Blanco Sink, Truffle
The sink is a really unique truffle stainless 60/40 farmhouse sink. It is non- traditional in the sense it is not shiny like normal stainless, but that is so great for cleaning. You won’t see all of the smudges you would on regular stainless (believe me, mine is the regular stainless, and is dirtyyyy).
Lighting
I am loving the pair of pendant lights over the island. They are modern in shape, but they have warm Edison bulbs that bring in a little bit of old charm. Here is a closer view!
This chandelier is SO beautiful! It is a great nod to both farmhouse style with its distressed french look and a more modern look with its clean lines, making it timeless. This fixture hangs over the eat-in area of the kitchen, which I can hopefully reveal soon as well!
Do we still love the sleek look of a white and grey kitchen? Or are we coming back around to more color? Which do you prefer? I personally am a fan of whatever fits your taste, as I like both! Let me know!
